All of us play play PUBG a lot, but did you ever try to know why is this favorite game of yours named so? Who is player unknown?
why is it actually called Battle Grounds? No? Okay no problem you'll know that in just a mater of time and here's why?


Player Unknown :

Brendan Greene the creator of PUBG is an Irish photographer who completed his graduation and got into web designing. Brendan has always been a great fan of battle Royale games. During the search of a good exposure he used to spend most of his time at home playing games he used to play the game 'ARMA' which was a famous battle royale online multiplayer game back in those days. user's get a default name 'player one' in the beginning of the game which can be changed later on, Brendan changed his name as 'Player Unknown' from 'Player One' as he thought it seemed cool! So the 'Player Unknown' in the 'Player Unknown's Battle Grounds' is none other than the very own creator of our all time favorite game PUBG

Battle Grounds :

Brendan Greene Once watched a very famous Japanese fiction film 'Battle Royale' in whcich a number of students were left on an island with some weapons, food and medicines and only one of them could get out of the island so these students had to fight and survive on the island and the last one to survive would get out of the island safely. This made Brendan a fan of battle royale and he got inspired to make a battle royale game once he got into the battle royale games of that time like 'ARMA' and 'DAYZ' and once he made his very own game he named it as 'Player Unknown's Battle Grounds!'

The primary map ERANGEL of PUBG is totally based on the movie, the weapons we get in ERANGEL like the sickle, crossbow, pistols etc have been shown in the movie 'Battle Royale'. Even the size of the map has been made by getting inspired by this movie
